- 3 cups uncooked egg noodles
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ¼ cup flour
- 2 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
- ½ cup heavy cream
- to taste Salt and black pepper
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles to al dente according to the pkg directions.
- Heat a large skillet on medium high heat and add the ground beef and onion, cooking until browned. Add in the minced garlic and cook another 30 seconds until fragrant, then remove the beef to a plate.
- Add in the butter and melt, then add in the paprika, whisk in the flour and cook for 30 seconds.
- Whisk in the beef stock, beef bouillon cube, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme, and simmer until thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
- Reduce the heat and whisk in the heavy cream until combined.
- Fold in the ground beef and cooked pasta until combined. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
Notes
- This dish can be served with a side of vegetables for a balanced meal.
- For added flavor, consider topping with grated cheese before serving.
