A delicious dish featuring tender teriyaki chicken served over rice with steamed broccoli.

- 1 lbs chicken thighs boneless, skinless
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 4 cups cooked white rice
- 2 cups broccoli florets steamed
- 2 green onions sliced
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp oil for cooking
Instructions
- Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar in a bowl.
- In another small bowl, combine cornstarch and water to make a slurry.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear until browned and fully cooked.
- Pour sauce mixture over the chicken. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Steam broccoli until just tender and vibrant green. Set aside.
- Assemble bowls with rice, teriyaki chicken, and broccoli. Top with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Substitute chicken with tofu for a vegetarian option.
