Description

A nutritious and delicious salad featuring fresh kale, ripe pears, and toasted walnuts, drizzled with balsamic vinegar.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh kale, chopped
  • 2 ripe pears, sliced
  • 1 cup walnuts, toasted
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash kale thoroughly and remove tough stems. Chop leaves into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast walnuts for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
  3. In the same skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté kale with a pinch of salt and pepper until wilted (4-5 minutes).
  4. Add sliced pears and toasted walnuts to the skillet. Toss gently to combine.
  5. Remove from heat and drizzle with balsamic vinegar; toss again.
  6. Serve immediately on plates, adding extra walnuts for garnish if desired.
