- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven now.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness.
- Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet or directly onto the hot pizza stone.
- Evenly spread the fresh mozzarella slices over the dough, leaving the edges clear for crust.
- Drizzle honey generously over the cheese and sprinkle red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before topping with fresh basil leaves.
- Slice and serve immediately.
