Description

Delicious buttery cookies with chopped pecans and powdered sugar, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (divided)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup pecans (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375℉.
  2. In a bowl, beat butter, ½ cup powdered sugar, and salt until creamy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla and then the flour and pecans.
  4. Scoop dough into 1 tablespoon portions and roll into a ball.
  5. Place onto an un-greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are just barely browned.
  7. Sift powdered sugar over the cookies as soon as they come out of the oven.
  8. Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes and then move to a cooling rack.
  9. Once cooled completely, roll in a bowl of the remaining ½ cup powdered sugar.
  10. Store in an airtight container once cooled.

Notes

  • For a variation, try adding chocolate chips or different nuts.
  • Adjust baking time slightly based on your oven for preferred crispiness.
