Description

This hearty beef and cabbage dish is perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small head green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat and drain the fat.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker.
  3. Cook on low for 6–7 hours, or high for 3–4 hours, until the cabbage and rice are tender.
